Corduff was the venue for the second USKFI event of 2011 so far, following a very successful brown and black belt course in the new Poppintree Leisure Centre in Ballymun last month which saw over 60 students train.

Last year's Senior Squad, plus a large number of Juniors hoping to be selected for competitions such as the very popular Liverpool Youth Championships, trained under coaches Michael Sherlock and David Royle. With competition for places on teams increasing, the atmosphere on the class was fantastic.

The day was also conducted as an Instructors' Course, where black belt Instructors and Assistant Instructors underwent theory instruction before the class in relation to USKFI rules and prodecures. They also instructed sections of the class before receiving constructive feedback to aid both their personal development and the standardising of teaching throughout the organisation.

There was an excellent turnout from both instructors and students alike which bodes well for a busy year ahead for the USKFI.
