The USKFI Senior squad flow out to Germany recently to represent Ireland in the 2010 ESKA Championships in Koblenz . Accompanied by coaches Michael Sherlock and David Royle, the competitors took part in what was one of the largest Championships to date and fielded entrants in both the Senior Male and Female team kumite events, as well as the usual individual events. The competitors had several exciting matches against strong opponents and, although no medals were won, the competitors showed real improvement in tactics and fighting style as well as some performing some strong katas.

This was the 4^th ESKA Chapionships that the USKF has been involved in and an eager squad are already looking forward to next year's Championships, to be held in Poland.
