Corduff Shotokan Karate Club was started in 1990 in Corduff, a small parish in the suburbs of Dublin. It has over 40 members with 20 DAN grades. The club is affiliated to the United Shotokan Karate Federation (USKF).
The Clubs Instructor, Sensei David Royle hold a 5th DAN black belt and has represented Ireland at European and World level. He has been practising karate for over 25 years.

Sensei Royle began his career in Shotokan Karate in 1983 at the age of 10. He was a member of the Karate Union of Ireland (KUI). He achieved the grade of Shodan on the 22-04-1988, Nidan on the 07-11-1992 and Sandan on the 23-09-1995 under Sensei Andy Sherry. He achieved the grade of Yondan on the 27-09-2000 under Sensei K. Enoeda. He achieved the grade of Godan in October 2007 under a KUGB panel chaired by Sensei Andy Sherry 8th DAN. |

The Club is located in the new Corduff Sports Complex (see map) and trains twice a week, on Tuesday and Thursday.
